Principal/Senior Embedded Multimedia Software Engineers

Movidius is seeking to recruit several Principal/Senior Embedded Multimedia Software Engineers to drive the development of multimedia solutions based on Movidius’s technology.

Job Functions

• Be a part of Movidius’s software team and help define the next generation of mobile multimedia system architecture
• Participate in the continuous design and development of system solution
• Document the design and present to development of system solutions
• Full life-cycle responsibility for software projects including Requirements Capture/Analysis, Specification, Design, Integration and Verification
• Mentoring and leadership of a small team of junior software engineers
• Work closely with development teams from other counties

Requirements

• BS in EE or CS. MS is a plus
• 6+ years relevant embedded firmware development experience for Senior role 10+ years for Principal role
• Industrial knowledge of embedded operation system
• Proficiency in programming language C
• Work experience with at least one embedded RTOS.
• Work experience with assembly language of at least one processor is highly desired.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following is desirable:
  • Performance optimization and assembly language programming for VLIW
  • Audio & Video codecs
  • Imaging
  • Graphics
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Team player with a can-do attitude and an ability to motivate others
• Strong passion in technology and engineering
• Willing to work in a start-up environment
